Azad Jammu & Kashmir 

Kashmir state was the largest state in the India. Its area was 222773. It includes the following Regions:
  •  Province Jammu
  • Gilgit
  • Ludakh
In August 1947, At the time of partition of India Hindu Raja of the state was illegally Muslim Majority State annexed by India. The people of Jammu & Kashmir have fought a war of independence against it. In this war Pakistani tribesmen participate with braveness. In 24th October 1947, of the state's forces freed after India declared independent state. At that time, the Ludakh area of the state is occupied by China. Zulfiqar Ali Bhuto declared Gilgit Agency as northern area is integrated in Pakistan. Some part of Jammu & Kashmir is India's dominance. While Azad Jammu & Kashmir is under the administration of Pakistan.

Azad Jammu & Kahmir:

Muzaffarabad is the capital of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Its area is 13297 square kilometer (5134 Square mile).

Administrative Division:

Three state division, Thirty sub-divisions, 48 police stations, 5 Development  authorities, 31 Central Councils, 11 Municipal Committies, 2 Municipal Corporation, 10 Districts, 19 Towns and 189 Union Councils. The following Districts are as:
  1. Muzaffarabad 
  2. Punch (Rawla Coat)
  3. Neelam (Athmaqaam)
  4. Kotli 
  5. Mirour 
  6. Bhimber
  7. Bagh
  8. Sadhnati (Plandheri)
  9. Hawaili (Farward Kota)
  10. Hutiyan (Hutiyan Bala

The divisions of Azad Jammu & Kashmir:

There are three divisions of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. These divisions are as follows:
  • Muzaffarabad
  • Punch
  • Mirpur
Districts Muzaffarabad, Hutiyan and Neelam are include in Muzaffarabad divisions. District Punch, Havaili, Bagh and Sadhnati are included in Punch division. District Bhimber, Kotli and Mirpur are included in Mirpur division. 

Population:

The population of Azad Jammu & Kashmir is approximately 46 lac. According to 1981 census the population of Azad Jammu & Kashmir was 1,982,456. In that population 1,032,859 men and 949,597 women were include. There are 343 members are in per square kilometer population. Annual average population is 2.7. Rural population percentage is 88 and Urban population percentage is 12. The literacy rate of the state is 60%. Dogri, Kasmiri, Pahari, Puthohari, Gojeri, Hindko, Kohstani, Mirpuri, Punjabi, Pushto and Urdu is official language.
There are Turkish and Arab descent ethnic and Aranian people. Annual rainfall is 100 to 155 centimeter. The monsoon rains from June to September and December to march is the season of rain. There are three rivers Neelam, Jehlam and Punch are flow. The state's economy is agricultural. Cultivation area of the state is 204,922 hectares. Cultivation area of the state is 14.6%. The main agricultural crops are wheat, Jawar, Bajra, Corn, Apple, Guava, Lady Finger and Grapes etc. Handi craft, textile, banashpati ghee, wood and equipment of engineering are included in industries. Azad Kashmir is famous around the world for tourism. Seven million Pakistan and foreign tourists come here annually. The famous tourism area for tourist are Lipa valley, Deer Coat, Rawla Coat, Banjosa, Plunderi, Geri Dupta, Chanari, Chukothi, Chikar, Lwn Bagla Shud Hanjli, Valley Jehlam, Valley Neelam etc.

The Northern Area (Gilgit-Biltustan):

Gilgit is the capital of northern area. Its area is 72496 square kilometer (28000 square mile). Its population is 18 lace. There are Urdu, Pushto, Sheena, English, Bilti o Khoahi and  Broshki Doma language are spoken in Gilgit Biltastan. According Pakistan government it is not independent area. It is establish on the 1st July in 1980. It has two division and ten District these are:
  • Ganchay 
  • Diyamer
  • Astore 
  • Ghizer
  • Gilgit
  • Henz Hinger
  • Sakerdu
Norderan Light Infentri.is the unit of Gilgit Biltistan. Polo, cricket, wali ball and kabadi are famous games of this region.
